A mute button would also be beneficial for those who use softphone instead of a office number because when you put a user on hold in Zylinc then proceed to call a coworker on teams and put the co-worker on hold and return the call in Zylinc the teams call automatically disconnects. If we could just mute the Zylinc call and be able to talk on teams with a co-worker the disconnection wouldn't happen in teams. While Teams doesn't offer the setting to turn off incoming phone calls also ringing on your personal phone but still recieve internal calls on teams and on your personal phone, using office number isn't feasible.
Our idea here at Sensa would be to use for a quick question to a coworker, without a mouse click or put the mic up on our headphones, just to press down on one key on the keyboard for a few seconds for some coworker input when working on a problem with a customer.
Thank you for your idea! Could you please clarify why you need the mute function? We're curious to understand your specific use case. Typically, using On hold allows customers to hear soothing music or messages, providing a better experience than silence. Your insights will help us address this idea effectively.
